Caption: An aggregation of the Antarctic nemertean Parbolasia corrugates. These huge and slimy worms can reach 2 m in length and are predators of many small Antarctic animals, such as limpets, and scavengers of almost anything that dies. They can swallow prey 5 or 6 times their width but here they are clustering in the spring tides of December perhaps for mass spawning.
